Investment in Our Services
We are transparent about our pricing and will insure that clients get the absolute best value for their money. There are no hidden fees and no surprises, and we put everything in writing so that you know exactly what to expect. We value repeat clients and therefore we want them to be happy. Grant writing is a specialized craft and the amount of time required for a project varies greatly. For example, a short proposal to a corporate foundation will not require as much time as a large and complex proposal to the National Science Foundation.
Our fees are calculated in the following ways:
- Hourly Rate: For relatively small jobs (e.g., editing a grant proposal or providing general consulting services), we charge an hourly rate.
- Flat Fee Rate: For larger jobs, we suggest a flat fee approach that will save you money and enable us to work more hours on your proposal without you worrying if the project will stay within your budget. We propose our flat fee only after talking with you, fully understanding your needs and requirements, and performing preliminary research on your topic of interest.
- Training Rate: For grant training, we typically offer half or full day sessions. We tailor the presentation to your organization and work on a flat fee basis.
Please contact us to discuss your specific requirements and to obtain a project fee quote.
Does GrantExcel work on a contingent fee basis or for a percentage of a grant award?
The answer is no. We are not allowed to do so. Professional grant writers and fundraisers do not work on a contingency or percentage basis.
The ethical standards of the Grant Professionals Association (GPA), Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and the American Association of Fund Raising Counsel all prohibit this practice. Grant preparation fees are usually paid from an organization’s unrestricted funds or individual donations.
